Having spent many a languorous afternoon lounging in the lavish embrace of the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, we approached the Grand Hyatt with a sense of guarded optimism. Surely, we mused, it couldn’t quite match the almost celestial heights of its sibling? Yet, while the Grand Hyatt may not occupy the same stratosphere, it shares enough luxurious DNA to make it a worthy contender in the Hyatt dynasty.

The first thing that strikes you is the sumptuousness of the reception. Entering through the grand doors, you’re greeted by an opulent atrium that soars heavenwards, a testament to the architectural ambition that defines the Grand Hyatt. The decor is tasteful and stylish, a seamless blend of modern sophistication and traditional elegance, setting the tone for what lies beyond.

Our room, a haven of smart technology, was a delight. Motion sensor lights that flick on as you move, electric curtains that glide silently at the touch of a button – it’s the future of hospitality, and it’s here now. The pièce de résistance, however, is the view. Every room boasts a balcony, and the vistas are nothing short of spectacular. Whether gazing at the shimmering waters of the Arabian Gulf or the twinkling cityscape, you’re guaranteed a visual treat.

Service at the Grand Hyatt is an art form. Attentive without being overbearing, the staff strike the perfect balance, ensuring your needs are met with a subtle elegance that never feels intrusive. It’s the kind of service that makes you feel simultaneously at home and utterly pampered.
